How can I make my R9 driver shoot lower drives?
I have a 10.5 degree taylormade r9 driver currently set to the neutral setting. My drives go really high and just wondering if I should adjust it to a different setting to keep my drives lower.
Thanks.

i wouldnt adjust the shaft, it seems pointless to me. i honestly wouldnt try anytihng, if you do it may just cause another element of your swing to go outta wack
lower the ball down a bit off the tee.
either tee your ball lower or put the ball in the middle of your stance or about middle left. You are probably catching the ball on the up-swing. just experiment and don’t forget to practice!
Isn’t that one of the settings of the driver, if you can adjust it do it. If you wanted your clubs to go lower you would adjust them for that flight.
put the ball back further in your stance or ajust the weights in the shaft to close up the face which will produce a draw which goes lower
You can try to adjust the face angle to a lower degree but in doing this you will adjust the lie angle as well. A lower flight will increase a fade so you might need to adjust the weights to a draw and give it a go. Change 1 at a time and see.
Hey Chickenwing , problem with most of these answers , and the newer equipment today , is that people believe the club is going to do all the work for you – the player does’nt need any skill , just buy the club that will supposedly fix your problem – right ? WRONG ! I can take YOUR driver , with my 110 MPH clubhead speed , and hit it high , low , hook , fade , , whatever I want , without changing any settings or screws . In the end , it is ALWAYS the swing that controls trajectory !!!!!
The biggest fallacy I keep reading is to ” tee it lower to hit it lower ” you actually need to do the opposite – a low tee height forces one to swing steeper than normal in order to make center contact ( or above-center contact – which is preferable with large Ti driver heads ) a high tee promotes a flatter , more rounded swing that produces a lower-spin draw , where the steep swing produces a rising , backspinning , fade/slice . Which flight do you think is better ?
