What is the number one FAIRWAY WOODS and IRONS on TOUR in 2008?
According to Titleist they are number one in the WEDGES and PUTTERS department in terms or quantity in 2008.
And we all know that TaylorMade is the number one most used on tour when it comes to DRIVERS.
But now my question is… who is number one when it comes to FAIRWAY WOODS and IRONS?

What is the difference between the Taylormade ’09 Burner and the Burner Tour?
I recently bought a Taylormade Tour Burner (2009 model) and used it first at a launch monitor at Dicks Sporting Goods. I was hitting 9/10 at 290yards and a very slight draw. I liked the results and bought the club. At the range and on the course however, I am hitting a constant 250 in the air and another 20yards of roll. I was wondering what the difference is in the Burner ’09 and the Tour Burner other than the shaft and black anodized head?
Also, I make good contact and have a driver swing speed of 115mph…is there another club that I could get better results from? I hear the Titleist 909D2 is very nice…is there another that is “better”. Thanks!

Taylormade R7 or Burner Tour?!?
I am two days away from purchasing either the Taylormade R7′s or Burner Tour irons. I currently have the Burner Tour Driver and love it! My driver speed is 113 MPH measured on over 20 swings so is pretty accurate. I swung the Burner Tour 7 Iron (15grams heavier shaft) on the Sports Authority simulator and was measured at 86MPH avg on 10 swings and my avg distance was 178.6 yards but was consistantly 8 yards left of pin and only 2 degress closed face. I tend to have a slight draw because I open my hips slightly more but that is preference. When I tried out the R7, I had just a slightly faster swing speed of 88MPH (15grams lighter than the tour burner shafts) and distance was exactly the same at 178.6 yards average on 10 hits. I hit the R7′s almost dead on the pin 7/10 shots and most were off-center on the club face so seemed much more forgiving. The simulator does not measure trajectory and I have never had good loft with any club and that is an issue I am hoping to correct with new irons. (Not that new irons will fix this issue but that I will work on it with the help of new irons and different swing mechanics.)
The R7′s are $399 on sale right now and the Tour Burner’s are $499 on sale right now. Is there a major difference in the two iron sets that I should be aware of that would make the $100 difference worth getting the Burner Tours? The Rep at Sports Authority said go with the R7′s because they are cheaper and should help with getting more loft. I want to use these irons for a while and make sure I am buying something to grow into for a couple years. (I am a mid 80′s player with great distance but horrible short game). Anyone have an opinion on these two? Why one is better or worse? Thanks for the help!
One other thing…when I tried the 4 irons, I hit them both pretty scattered as I usually do with 4 irons…all around 220 yards but 20 yards on either side of the pin. But when I switched to the pitching wedge, I hit the burner pretty much 10 yards left of the pin every shot. The R7 I seemed to draw every single shot 20 yards left of the pin and 10degrees closed face. This may have been because I was tired of 120 strokes in the simulator but is there something different in the short irons in the R7′s vs the longer irons?
